The leader of Cross River State House of Assembly and Member representing Ogoja State constituency, Hon. Peter Odinga Odey today brought succour to his constituents as he embarked on a COVID-19 palliatives distribution to them.
According to Hon. Odey, the gesture is geared towards cushioning the hitting effects of the pandemic on his people. In a post on his official handle, the leader stated that though he didn’t have enough but the little he has, is what he decided to share.
According to him “We give not because we have enough but because we care enough for our people.”
He added that “In a bid to cushion the pain orchestrated as a result of COVID-19, I have provided a little support for my people as a form of palliative towards ameliorating the pain brought by the COVID-19.”
Hon. Odey while expressing grief over the unfortunate conditions which the pandemic has brought upon his people said “I feel the pain of the Ogoja people and in any little way I can reach out , I will.”
Some of the items distributed include food items like rice, tin tomatoes and other palliatives.
