The University of Cross River State played host to the COVID 19 Compliance Inspection Team from the Cross River State Ministry of Health and the National Council for Disease Control (NCDC) today 22nd of February 2021 .
The delegation was led by Pastor Mrs O Akpor the State Health Inspection Officer. She was accompanied by a retinue of Staff from the Ministry of Health Cross River State and NCDC. Worthy of note, among the delegation was the NCDC Cross River State Representative Dr Magdalene Chindo.
The COVID 19 Compliance Inspection Team was well received by a cross section of Staff of the University led by Professor Emmanuel Utah, Chairman of the COVID 19 Compliance team in the University. Staff in attendance included Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, Security Officials and Medical Personnel’s of the University.
The COVID 19 Inspection Team in an interactive session with Staff commended the University for all it has done to curb the spread of the virus in the University and promised to be of assistance in areas in which it is lacking.
The inspection team undertook a tour of facilities required for COVID 19 compliance and identified areas in need of immediate intervention. They pledged to relay the challenges faced in the University in terms of optimum COVID 19 compliance to the appropriate Authorities.
