SEN. OWAN PREACHES MESSAGE OF HOPE TO CROSS RIVERIANS ON NEW YEAR

The All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate in Cross River state in his new year goodwill message has enjoined Cross Riverians and other Nigerians resident in the state to keep hope alive saying if voted into power, his administration is “determined to confront the forces of retrogression to make life meaningful for all”.
In his goodwill message to commemorate the New year day, the governorship hopeful noted that though the present condition of the state calls for sober reflection but there is hope as according to him “God has given us the grace to survive these three and half years of pains, tribulations and agonies in the state”.
Sen. Enoh assure that the vision of making the state the preferred investment destination in Nigeria in particular and West Africa in general will be given priority once he is voted into power as according to him ” Given the typography of our state, it is certain that no industrial revolution would be possible without the underpinning factors like a secure environment, critical infrastructure and effective human capital development”.
He added that his administration will establish a security trust fund and evolve a strong partnership with communities and other security agencies in order to combat the security challenges presently confronting the state.
Sen. John added that the blueprint of his administration will focus on critical areas such as security, human capital development, efficient health care delivery, agriculture, industrialization, job creation, enterprise development, infrastructural development, local government and civil service reforms and a special status for Calabar, the capital city.
He appreciated everyone for the massive show of love since he was handed the party’s ticket as the standard bearer for the 2019 governorship election noting that “This shows that all hope is not lost in our collective resolve to rescue our dear state from the stranglehold of underdevelopment and mis-governance orchestrated by those who see public office as an opportunity for showmanship and to line their pockets at the expense of the people”.
