New UNICROSS Law: Alumni Extols Ayade as Worthy Visitor to University

The National President of the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Alumni Association, now University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association, Comrade Eyam Abeng has commended the people oriented Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for his assent to the UNICROSS Law which converts the institution into a full conventional University.

The National President made this known via a press release signed by him and made available to our repprters in Calabar yesterday described His Excellency as a visionary leader and a father who understand the importance of education in the development of better society.

The release convey the unreserved appreciation and commendation of the National President and the entire Alumni body over His Excellency love for Education and UNICROSS in particular since assumption of office, describing him as the most friendly and caring Visitor to the University since creation in 2002.

The release further explain that this development is timely and expedient as it will ensure speedy growth and expansion of the institution that could place UNICROSS at pair with other world best universities in the near future.

It also noted that the institution remains the most valuable asset and uniting factor in the State as products and students of the University cut across almost all families and communities in the Cross River State. This means that an investment into the University will affect virtually all part of the state.

It is believe that the new Law will see to the expansion, infrastructural and manpower development of the University and will also see to the creation of other faculties like Law, Medicine, etc that can help address the imminent needs of our immediate society.

The Alumni leader also call on well meaning Cross Riverians to support the University and His Excellency’s vision by way of providing infrastructures like lecture theathers, grants, scholarships, laboratory and studio equipment that can ensure effective service delivery in the institution.
