The JOE foundation for Diabetes is set to distribute palliatives to all the wards that makes up Cross River Central Senatorial district.
This is contained in a release by the Programme Officer of the foundation, Mrs Nyce Manyo Neji. According to the release, the event is billed to take place on the 8th of May, 2020 at Jorany Hotels, Ikom.
The statement further added that selected representatives from each ward are expected to be seated at 10 am prompt on the said date for a lecture on the COVID-19 and Diabetes. This will be followed by the distribution of the palliatives which are mostly food items.
On those to handle the selection of representatives, the Programme officer stated that the foundation has volunteers from across the various communities in the zone saying “We have our community volunteers for the foundation and that is their job”. Mrs Neji added that measures have been put in place to ensure social and physical distancing during the event as she said ” We are expecting one person per ward and we are going to use the Jorany hall in order to maintain physical distance”.
The JOE FOUNDATION FOR DIABETES is an initiative of the immediate past Senator who represented Central Senatorial district at the 8th Assembly and the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in the 2019 general elections, Sen. John Owan Enoh.
