The tussle of who replaces late Sen. Rose Oko as Senator representing Cross River North has taken a sharp turn.
The member representing Ogoja/Yala in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jarigbe Agom and SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Stephen Odey have been at loggerhead over who the cap fits.
Last week Dr. Stephen Odey was sworn in by the President of the Senate, Sen. Lawan Ahmed after he had received Certificate of Return from the State INEC REC.
In a twist, INEC has just issued Certificate of Return to Hon. Jarigbe Agom as Senator Elect for Cross River Northern Senatorial District.
The certificate was presented to Hon. Jarigbe by INEC National commissioner and Chairman of its information and Voters Education committee, Festus Okoye. It nullifies the one earlier issued to Dr. Stephen Odey. By this new development, it i expected that Hon. Jarigbe will be inaugurated into the senate in the days ahead
