The Cross River Commissioner for Education, Amanke Ebunshua has expressed confidence in the leadership and charged the Acting Vice Chancellor of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) not to betray the confidence reposed on him before his appointment.
Speaking when the management of the institution paid him a courtesy visit in his office, the Honourable commissioner reiterated the commitment of the state government towards raising the bar of quality education in the state owned institutions.
According to a post on his official handle, Mr. Amanke said “I have very profound confidence in the Leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Angba, a renowned academic of international standard. I charged them to live up to the confidences reposed in them by the Visitor to the University and Chancellor, the Digital Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade”.
He added that both parties had robust discussions bordering on campus security, students and staff welfare amongst others saying “We had strategic discussions bothering on raising the bar on Quality Education in the University, security on Campus, students welfare, funding deficits, staff welfare among others”.
Among those present at the meeting are the Acting Vice Chancellor of The Cross River State University of Technology (Crutech), Prof. Angba Augustine, and other Management Team of the University, made of Prof. William Nkanu, Chief Librarian, Mr. Uno I. Ogan, Director of Academic Planning and Representing the Registrar, Mr. Ekpe Ibom Ekpe, University Bursar and Mr E. Alaga, University Auditor.
