The newly appointed chairman and members of the state civil service commission have been inaugurated with the charge to work together in one accord for the interest of the civil service.

Inaugurating the members at the exco chambers, the Deputy Governor Professor Ivara Esu, OFR who represented the Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, informed them to see their appointment as important in view of their role in the administration of governance.

He maintained that civil service commission is saddled with the responsibility of recruitment, promotion and discipline of civil servants especially the higher cadre.

Professor Esu explained the commission is an organ of government in which the service is based, adding that the quality of the chairman and members is the image of government.

The Deputy Governor stated that the Governor has high regards on their personalities, hence their appointment as chairman and members of the Civil Service Commission.

The Chairman of the commission, Mr. Uko Inaku, thanked the Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity and pledged their commitment, hard work and sincerity to ensure that the civil service is taken to a higher level.

Those inaugurated are Uko Inaku Chairman, Jerome Ayade- Commissioner I, Thomas Onabe- Comissioner II, Chief Onnoyom Ita- Commissioner III and Friday Ntayi as Commissioner IV.
