A 300 level Computer Science student of the prestigious Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), Joshua Uzor in partnership with Barefooted have launched an E-learning platform and mobile learning app for Nigerian Universities especially those in CRUTECH to study at the comfort of their homes.
The app nickname ‘easypass’ comes with sensitive materials needed for learning and teaching is configured with past questions from various departments including General studies.
The Software enables students to study while at home and prepare for their examinations.
Speaking with Genuine reporter during the launch, Uzor described it as a dream come true as according to him “I have been working assiduously on this project for some time now and I thank God that it is finally out”.
Uzor appealed for collaboration from lecturers, corporate bodies and well meaning individuals to enable him expand the app and ensure constant maintenance. He specifically appealed for lecturers to key in and make use of the app to administer quiz, term papers, update the app with their past questions so students that their students have access to them amongst other input from more experienced hands.
He appealed to management of CRUTECH to invest more in technology and innovation and support the dreams and works of students who are in the ICT field.
He admonished students of the state university to make use of this opportunity to refreshing their memory while staying at home during this lockdown. According to him, most students can not remember where they kept their notebooks and that is the vacuum the app seeks to fill as it provides them with ready made materials and past questions at the comfort of their mobile phones.
