The Cross River University of Technology, Calabar, has taken steps to enforce compliance to the extant Covid-19 safety protocols among her staff members and the public.
Flagging off the “no nose mask, no entry” drive on Friday, January 8, 2021, enforcement agents were actively on guard to ensure that all those who had access to the University, were compliant.

A walk around the Calabar Campus of the University, showed people who were apparently on their nose masks. Also, hand-washing facilities have been strategically situated within the institution just as the staff who congregated to observe the Institution’s monthly prayer summit for January, 2021, were properly spaced out. In their corroborative statements, both Chairmen of the CRUTECH Central Committee on Covid-19 and CRUTECH Covid-19 Implementation Commitee, Prof Emmanuel Uttah and SP Ibiang Iwara Enang (retd), respectively revealed that there are also, other planned formidable actions to be put in place.
It will be recalled that the University Management had earlier on, in 2020, constituted both Committees to prepare grounds for the eventual return of students to the institution.
