Cross River State Government has declared 35 youths WANTED for their involvement in killings in Calabar over rival cult clashes
A statement by the Permanent Secretary on Security, Dr Alfred Mboto, said that a handsome reward awaits any individual who provide useful information that would lead to the arrest of any of the WANTED ALLEGED CULTISTS.
The statement reads:
The spate of killings taking place in Calabar metropolis over supremacy of various fraternities is alarming and unacceptable by the government and people of Cross River state.
In view of this development, the state has declared the following persons who have been identified as the ring leaders wanted:
1. Kufre Ekpo Eyo (Romance) of Uwanse street.
2. Sampson Joshua Oval (Samsung) of Ikot Effangha
3. Cyril Bassey (PDP councillorship candidate of Ward 6, Cal. South)
4. Gershom Edem
5. Samuel Emeka
6. Emeka 11
7. Cornel Joe Edet of Apo quarters, Abuja
8. Charley of White house street.
9. Junior (Yanky’s son) of Chambley.
10. Supreme Etete of White house street.
The statement added that a reward awaits anyone who brings forth information that can help security agents arrest the culprits. It says: “The public is also informed that any house/hotel accommodating any of these persons or any perpetrators of the act will be confiscated and the owner of the property prosecuted according”.
It concludes by saying that ” A handsome reward awaits any person who avail security agencies the information of their whereabouts, please”.
Recall that in the last two weeks, the spate of killings especially in Calabar metropolis has increased with fingers pointed towards the direction of cult related activities.
